DEA Drug Take Back Day Scheduled For Saturday In Tuscaloosa
The single-day initiative will allow the public to safely dispose of tablets, capsules, patches, and other forms of prescription drugs.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force is set to host its Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) National Drug Takeback Day in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The single-day initiative will allow the public to safely dispose of tablets, capsules, patches, and other forms of prescription drugs.

Those dropping office medications are asked to not bring syringes, sharp objects or illegal drugs.
Additionally, organizers say liquid products should remain sealed in their original container with a tightly sealed cap.

Here is a list of drop-off locations, which will be available Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
- CVS: Highway 82 and Highway 69 North, Northport
- CVS: Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 15th Street
- CVS: Veterans Memorial Parkway & 15th Street
- Walgreens: Highway 69 South & Patriot Parkway
- Walmart Neighborhood Market: Skyland Boulevard & Hargrove Road East.
