Suspect Located And Taken Into Custody After Escaping Near Duncanville Monday

Deputies are currently in the area of Argonne Forest and Bearmont Road near Duncanville searching for a suspect who escaped custody.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Patch Monday morning that deputies are currently in the area of Argonne Forest and Bearmont Road near Duncanville searching for an individual who reportedly escaped custody today.

Due to the developing nature of the situation, few details have been released at this time, but TCSO Public Information Officer Jessica McDaniel told Patch an IPAWS emergency notification alert was sent to residents of the area advising them to stay indoors until the suspect could be apprehended.

The individual — a white male reportedly in handcuffs — was described in the emergency alert as having red hair and wearing a black sweatshirt and baseball cap.

McDaniel said deputies are currently in the area and K9 units are on-scene working to apprehend the suspect.
