Greene County Crash Kills Northport Man, Demopolis Woman Thursday

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a Thursday morning crash in Greene County resulted in the deaths of a Northport man and a woman from Demopolis.

ALEA said in a press release that the two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. Thursday, when the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Dana P. Freeman, 55, of Demopolis, collided head-on with the 2004 Chevrolet Express G3500 driven by Joseph D. Lunceford, 44, of Northport.

Investigators said Freeman and Lunceford were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
ALEA said the crash occurred on U.S. Highway 43, approximately four miles south of Forkland in Greene County.
