As part of the plea deal, Williams admitted to producing sexually explicit images of a young child multiple times between 2018 and 2020.

Hamlin said the investigation began when Vernon Police officers learned of the abuse during an unrelated incident involving Williams in 2021.

He then pointed out that the probe was conducted by the District Attorney’s Office Sexual Assault Unit Investigator Anna Bailey and officers of the Vernon Police Department.

“This was a challenging investigation at times," Hamlin said. "Law enforcement’s diligence led to this outcome of a lengthy sentence, which is entirely fitting for a crime of this nature,” Hamlin said. “This prison sentence demonstrates that we will not tolerate this type of predatory behavior and that our office is committed to making sure those who seek to harm and exploit children will face justice. "

Hamlin said Williams has remained in jail since the time of his arrest and will not be eligible for correctional incentive time or parole.
