Mercedes Says No Injuries In Bibb County Warehouse Fire Tuesday
Mercedes-Benz U.S. International said there were no injuries in a fire Tuesday morning at a warehouse on its Bibb County campus.

VANCE, AL — Mercedes-Benz U.S. International provided an update Tuesday afternoon following erroneous media reports of a fire at one of its facilities in Bibb County.

MBUSI spokesperson Felyicia Jerald said the fire was at the North America Central Warehouse on the automaker's Bibb County campus and not at its battery plant, which was reported by some local outlets.

"All Team Members working in that building were evacuated and there were no injuries," she said just after noon on Tuesday.
Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue continues to investigate the fire and process the scene, with the fire nearly under control roughly an hour ago.
