TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person is dead and a homicide investigation is underway Friday morning on Claybrook Drive in Tuscaloosa.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media that the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded Friday morning to the call of a stabbing at 2602 Claybrook Drive.

He then said one person was taken to the hospital, where they died from their injuries.
Kennedy also said a person of interest is in custody and more information will be released as the investigation moves forward.
