One Injured In Wednesday Shooting On Joe Mallisham Parkway
One person is injured and a suspect in custody after a Wednesday morning on Joe Mallisham Parkway.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that injured one person.

Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency unit, told local media that a call of a shooting came in at 7:20 a.m. at the Chevron Station at 3800 Joe Mallisham Parkway.

Kennedy then said one person is in custody and the victim is being treated at DCH Regional Medical Center for their injuries.
Tuscaloosa Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor also said dispatch received a call from a woman who said a passenger in her vehicle had just been shot while they were at the Chevron.

Taylor said the woman was driving when she made the call and said the victim was possibly deceased.
"TPD officers responded to the gas station and a nearby residence, and are now there working to determine what occurred," she said.
