Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle On Interstate Near Skyland Exit Tuesday

Patch is still working to gather additional details after a pedestrian was struck just before noon on Interstate 20/59 in Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department has confirmed that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and injured on the interstate just a short time before noon on Tuesday.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor said the call came in at 11:14 a.m., going on to say the incident happened near the Interstate 20/59 exit at Skyland Boulevard.

The pedestrian's injuries are reported to be serious.

Little other information has been released at this time as the investigation is also being handled by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
