Suspect In Custody After Allegedly Shooting At Police Near Carbon Hill Thursday

CARBON HILL, AL — The Walker County Sheriff's Office says one suspect has been taken into custody after reportedly shooting at deputies.

Few details have been provided as the investigation is in its early stages, but the sheriff's office says deputies were on the scene Thursday at Lost Creek Road near Carbon Hill.

While a photo of the suspect was published by the agency, he has not been publicly identified by name at this time.

WCSO says multiple agencies are on scene at this time and the road is closed.

It remains unclear at this time if there are any additional suspects.
