TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Police are investigating a Thanksgiving morning altercation at Forrester Gardens Apartments that resulted in two people receiving knife wounds.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed to Patch Thursday morning that officers were called to a disturbance at the apartments on James I. Harrison Parkway at 8:04 a.m. with an individual reportedly refusing to leave a residence.

TPD then said the dispute escalated while the caller was still connected to the 911 dispatcher, resulting in the two injuries. The extent of the injuries are unclear at this time and one person is in custody.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has been notified and is expected to follow up on the incident.
