Two Tuscaloosa County Teens Killed, Two Injured In Saturday Crash On Highway 69

ALEA gave an update Monday following a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of two teens, along with injuring two others.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency provided additional details Monday following a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of two teens, along with injuring two other teen passengers.

As Patch previously reported, the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.

ALEA said a 17-year-old from Vance was critically injured when the 2005 Nissan Maxima the teen was driving left the roadway and struck a ditch. The teen driver was transported to an area hospital but later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Additionally, ALEA said one passenger in the Nissan, a 17-year-old from Tuscaloosa, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

ALEA then said one 17-year-old passenger and one 18-year-old passenger, both from Tuscaloosa, were injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment.

Troopers were quick to point out that none of the four individuals in the vehicle were using seat belts at the time of the crash, which occurred on Alabama Highway 69 near the 136 mile marker, roughly five miles south of Tuscaloosa.
