- Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is considering building a hotel to offer travelers added convenience. The addition of a hotel was first included in the airport's master plan in 2014, and while plans to construct lodging near the rental car center fell through, Airport Manager Jim Szczesniak says a new location is now being considered. Szczesniak added that it could be up to three more years before the hotel opens, pending approval of the project. (Alaska's News Source)
- An Anchorage man secured an eighth-place finish in the Olympic cross-country ski race this weekend. 30-year-old Scott Patterson, who trains with the Alaska Pacific University elite club team, kept pace with the lead pack for the majority of the 28-kilometer race. Patterson finished his race just 33 seconds behind the event's gold medal winner. (Anchorage Daily News)
- Several companies in the Anchorage area are hiring for a range of full- and part-time opportunities. The open positions span various industries including customer service, sales, and hospitality.
