🌱 Beyond Van Gogh + Anchorage Residents Await Tonga Updates

Here are the top three stories in Anchorage today:

1. An immersive van Gogh experience is coming to Anchorage soon. At Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, guests witness over 300 masterpieces, including classics such as “The Starry Night," “Sunflowers,” and “Café Terrace at Night” — all now freed from their frames. The event will be coming to Anchorage for a limited engagement, and those interested can register now for pre-sale tickets. (Business Wire)
2. There are a lot of unique adventures to be had in Anchorage. With Alaska's wilderness, glaciers, and mountain ranges in the area, it's a great place to hike, ski, and visit national parks. 3. Anchorage residents with roots in the South Pacific are waiting to hear from relatives after the massive volcano eruption near Tonga. There are more than 600 people in Anchorage with ties to Tonga, according to Fehoko Pulu, who was at a Sunday service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anchorage to pray for his family and friends. Tongans make up a part of Alaska's large Polynesian community, and are closely related to Samoans and other Polynesians in culture and language. (Yahoo! Sports)
