Dear UAA Community,

As the long weekend approaches, I hope you take the opportunity to relax, recharge
and enjoy the last bit of the Alaska summer. As a reminder, the university will be
closed on Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

If you’re headed to the Alaska State Fair on Friday, be sure to don your favorite
green and gold apparel and visit UAA’s booth for a chance to win great prizes and
grab some university swag. Friday, Sept. 3 is UAA Day at the Fair, so you’ll find
our staff at a booth in Pioneer Plaza answering questions, engaging with fairgoers
and spreading the word about UAA.

Thank you for all your hard work, dedication to higher learning, and all you do to
make UAA a great university and vibrant community.
