Looking for motivated individuals who love to spend the Alaska summer and fall outdoors.
The Applied Environmental Research Center (AERC) is looking for individuals to participate in various field projects ranging from
moose browse to fish to invasive species to forestry on Joint Base Richardson-Elmendorf
(JBER), for the months of August through November (may change based on field season)
at a rate of $1,900 per month (participant stipend).

Individuals that are current students with field experience or education are preferred,
but anyone with a love for the outdoors are welcome to apply. Must be willing and
able to hike and be active in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions and
participate on weekends and holidays. Must be an US citizen to be able to access base.
If interested, please email the AERC team at uaa_aerc@alaska.edu with a current resume/CV and a letter of recommendation. We are looking to fill participant
slots quickly. The AERC team will provide the necessary equipment and training to
conduct research projects on base.
Participants need to be available 7 days a week during the day; please let us know
