Cassie Keefer's last day at UAA is April 30. Though her family has loved their time
in Alaska, they look forward to being closer to family again in the lower 48. Cassie
joined the Enrollment Services team as our inaugural Executive Director of Admissions
2 1/2 years ago with a wealth of experience. During her time as a Seawolf, she has
united three distinct areas to develop a dynamic team with a shared mission - grow
enrollment and remove barriers tied to admissions. I have appreciated Cassie's collaborative,
solutions-oriented approach to her work and professional relationships. I am fortunate
to have had the opportunity to work more closely with her this semester in my interim
role. She has taught me a lot about not only the important and varied work that she
and her team do but about life and servant leadership. Please join me in thanking
Cassie for her service to UAA and wishing her well!

I am pleased to share that Craig Mead has graciously agreed to serve as the Interim
Executive Director of Admissions effective May 3 while we conduct a national search
for a permanent replacement. Craig joined the admissions team 6 1/2 years ago as a
Transfer Coordinator after 10 years in the Registrar's Office. He later served as
the Assistant Director of Recruitment and currently serves as the Assistant Director
of Operations. Craig brings a wealth of comprehensive experience to this interim role,
and I thank him for his willingness to serve. Congratulations, Craig!
