I am pleased to announce Dr. Jenny McNulty has accepted the role of dean of the UAA
College of Arts and Sciences, with a start date of July 1, 2021.
An experienced leader in higher education, Dr. McNulty comes to UAA from Montana,
where she is currently the interim provost and vice chancellor of academic and student
affairs at the University of Montana Western and a tenured full professor at the University
of Montana. She is a mathematician with a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina
who strongly believes that a well-rounded education, grounded in the liberal arts
and sciences, best serves students today and in the future. Her experience working
within a multicampus system of higher education, and in scaling mentorship and first
year experience programs, will prove invaluable to the college and to UAA. Please
join me in welcoming Dr. McNulty to the UAA community.
