University Of Alaska Anchorage: Student Union Reservations Update

June 2, 2021

The University of Alaska Anchorage has stated that in-person events are not permissible
indoors, with exceptions for small indoor meetings with social distancing for employees
authorized to be on campus (Chancellor email, May 18, 2021). As the university continues to monitor and evaluate event options for the future,
the Student Union will begin to allow student organizations, departments and exterior
clients the opportunity to “hold” reservations for fall 2021. Reservation requests
will be accepted on 25Live. Again, these reservations are merely placeholders and will be fully approved if the university allows indoor events (of the nature
of the reservation request) at a future date or the event is approved through risk
management to be able to be held on campus. If the university policy remains unchanged
by the date of a requested reservation, the Student Union will be unable to fulfill
the request.
