University Of Alaska Anchorage: UAA Chancellor Finalists Announced

Dear UAA Community,

The UAA Chancellor Search Committee announced today that it has recommended eight
candidates to meet with the UAA and Anchorage community in the final phase of the
chancellor review process. These eight leaders were chosen from a pool of diverse
and highly qualified candidates and will participate in student and community forums
April 13-14. 

The search committee believes it is important for the UAA and Anchorage community
to learn as much as possible about these eight highly qualified candidates, have the
opportunity to engage with them, and provide feedback to the committee. The eight
candidates include: 

More specific detail about the candidates, the virtual meetings and a feedback form
will be available at the UAA Chancellor Search page. The planned forums are designed for broad participation and all are encouraged to
join meetings. The forums will be recorded and posted to the website for anyone not
able to attend the live sessions. 

Additionally, the candidates will visit UAA and meet with UAA student leaders, administrators,
deans, directors and President Pat Pitney in one-on-one sessions.

Interim President Pitney is expected to make a final decision on the next UAA chancellor
in early May.
