Original message: Join the UAA Grounds Department at the Alaska Airlines Center west lawn Sept. 24,
from noon–2 p.m. for a tree planting event in memory of Chris Turletes, vice chancellor
of Facilities and Campus Services from 2004–2017. Chris was a champion of trees on
the campus during and long after his tenure at UAA. Help us install two new ornamental
trees on the Alaska Airlines Center lawn, plant seedlings in the surrounding woodland
and learn more about plans to dedicate the UAA Tree Tour in Chris' memory. Dress for
the weather. Light refreshments (including warm drinks!) will be served.
