Here are the top 3 stories in Anchorage today:

  1. During the final five minutes of the Wolverines versus Wilderness hockey game, Minnesota's team scored two goals which led to their victory. The win put the Wilderness within one point of Anchorage in the North American Hockey League's Midwest Division standings. Currently, Anchorage is still in the playoffs; however, it is a very closely clumped division. Best of luck to the Wolverines! (Anchorage Daily News)
  2. This past Friday night, a shooting took place in Anchorage's Government Hill neighborhood. According to reports, one man was taken into custody following the shooting and another man was taken to the hospital. 24-year-old Bruce Witt was arrested after the altercation and was charged with a felony first-degree assault charge. It is unknown whether or not the two men knew each other prior to the event. (Alaska's News Source)
