• Limited Amount Of Permits Available For Afognak Island Elk Hunt (aksportingjournal.com) — Hunters in Ouzinkie should know that a very limited number of Afognak Island elk registration permits will be issued in person at the Native Village of Ouzinkie Cultural Center on Tuesday, September 22, starting at 9 a.m. Alaska residents can receive only one permit, for either hunt RE752 or RE756, with the elk season running September 25 through October 22.
