• JDHS XC boys win at Ketchikan, girls second (juneauindependent.com) — Skagway High's cross-country boys placed fourth at the competitive Kayhi Invitational in Ketchikan, with several Panthers finishing solidly in the crowded 5K field. The meet, held Sept. 12 around Ward Lake, drew runners from across Southeast Alaska and highlighted how Skagway athletes stack up against larger programs like Juneau-Douglas, Sitka, and Ketchikan as the season heads toward regional championships.
