Residents can submit comments on the corrections through Oct. 8, weighing in on potential emissions from engines, flares, and other equipment operating within the nearby Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
• Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Drug, Weapons Bust in Sterling (radiokenai.com) — A late-night traffic stop on the Sterling Highway just outside Sterling led troopers to arrest a Soldotna man and seize suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia, and two loaded firearms. The driver, who allegedly violated prior release conditions and drove on a revoked license, now faces multiple drug and weapons misconduct charges tied to the stop near the community.
