Glendale Officer-Involved Shooting Leaves Robbery Suspect Dead
The incident started with an investigation of an armed robbery.

It started as an investigation into an armed robbery and ended with a man dead, shot by a Glendale Police Officer. No officer was injured in the incident.
It was around 7 Tuesday morning and officers from Glendale responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store at 6700 West Bethany Home Road.
Officers were told there had also been a fight at the store.

Witnesses were able to give police the license plate.
Phoenix officers spotted the car around the 6900 block of West Clarendon Avenue and gave chase.

Officers from Glendale and Peoria joined the chase.
About 8:15, officers from the three departments converged on the car by the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Northern Avenue.

Officers tried to use a Taser on the man but two officers opened fire when they heard a shot from the car.
The man, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
