Glendale Police Shooting: Teen Who Shot At Officer Identified

Police say that the officer had come upon a fight among four men when one of them pulled a gun.

The 18-year-old who was found dead after shooting at a Glendale Police officer on Friday was Jayden Young. Police say he was found with a gunshot wound though it's not clear if he was shot by the officer or one of the people he was fighting with.

Police say that an officer saw four men fighting near Bethany Home Road and 63rd Avenue.

During the incident, police say that Young shot two others. Seeing that, Officer Andrew Johnson returned fire. Young fled the scene and was later found after he crashed the car he was in.

He was dead from a gunshot wound though it wasn't known if it was self-inflicted or from Officer Johnson's gun.

One of the man Young shot was taken to the hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Another person suffered minor injuries and a fourth person was taken into custody.
