Mesa Helicopter Crash: Officer Was On Training Flight Not Seriously Hurt
The office was on a training flight when he had to make a hard landing.

A Mesa police officer on a helicopter training flight hard to make an emergency landing Thursday. He was not seriously injured. Officials say the cause was engine failure.

It happened around 10 a.m.. The pilot was flying from Falcon Field Airport to Coolidge. He landed by Arizona Farms Road and Felix Road.

There was no significant damage to the helicopter.
A second helicopter was sent to find him.

The pilot did suffer a head injury but is expected to be okay.
