• A community comes together on pickleball courts (patagoniaregionaltimes.org) — Patagonia residents have transformed the old basketball courts behind the Patagonia Museum into three community pickleball courts, built with local donations and volunteer labor. A growing group now meets there Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, welcoming newcomers with shared equipment and informal coaching, and plans an open house after Oct. 17 to introduce even more locals to the sport.
   

• 37th Patagonia Fall Festival returns to Town Park on Oct. 10-11 (patagoniaregionaltimes.org) — Patagonia’s 37th Fall Festival is set for Oct. 10–11 at Town Park, with free admission, nearby free and paid parking, and more than 130 mostly southern Arizona vendors. Local favorites like the Volunteer Fire Department’s Burger Burn and musician Zach Farley will return, alongside new performers and food options, as organizers hope to draw up to 15,000 visitors.
