1 Dead, 1 Seriously Hurt After Rollover Crash In Central Phoenix
Police said a vehicle rolled over and hit a wall near 7th Avenue and Portland Street early Saturday.
PHOENIX, AZ — A 51-year-old woman died and another person was seriously injured after a rollover crash in central Phoenix early Saturday, according to Phoenix police.
Officers were called to 7th Avenue and Portland Street around 4:30 a.m. Aug. 8 after reports of a crash. They found a vehicle that had rolled over and hit a brick wall near 1100 North 7th Avenue.
Phoenix Fire Department personnel took both people in the vehicle to a local hospital with serious injuries, police said. The front-seat passenger, identified as Kelly Greene, 51, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other person in the vehicle was also seriously injured. Police have not released that person's identity or provided an update on their condition.
Police said the driver may have suffered a medical event that contributed to the crash. They said alcohol or drugs were not believed to be a factor.

The crash happened on 7th Avenue south of Interstate 10.
