Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. A $1M lottery ticket was sold in Phoenix on Saturday. The lucky winner bought the Powerball ticket at a Circle K near 27th Avenue and Butler Drive. According to the Arizona Lottery, a handful of other tickets with $100 prizes were also sold Saturday after the big $1M whopper. (12news.com KPNX)
  2. The Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix is set to partner with SpaceX to host the first-ever fellowship in aerospace surgery. Beginning in July, the Fellowship will serve as a comprehensive, in-depth training of aerospace medicine, specifically surgery and procedures. The program is the first of its kind to be offered, and the Banner team is honored to take part in such trailblazing progress with SpaceX. (AZ Big Media)
  3. Local snow-cone joint, Bahama Buck's is donating a portion of its proceeds to Phoenix Children's during the week of giving. During this week only, the beloved shaved-ice company is doing dollar-for-dollar matching up to $5,000 to support Phoenix Children's.
