2 Dead At Phoenix Apartment Complex In Suspected Murder-Suicide: Police

Police said a 42-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man were found dead Tuesday afternoon in Phoenix.

PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix police are investigating a homicide after two people were found dead Tuesday afternoon at an apartment complex near 2500 West North Foothills Drive.

Officers were called to the complex around 3:30 p.m. June 30 on a disturbance call and found Alyssa Ann Sydow-Hoffert, 42, and Henry Arthur Sydow-Hoffert, 59, dead inside the home.

Police said Alyssa died from multiple gunshot wounds. Henry Arthur died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.

Detectives took over the scene, and the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Police did not describe the nature of the disturbance call that brought officers to the complex, and did not say how the two were related beyond sharing a last name.
