$2K In Drugs And Cash Seized In Millersville Drug Arrests: Police

Men from Severn and a Pasadena man were arrested Tuesday on drug charges after their speeding car was stopped, police say.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — Two men from Severn and a Pasadena man were arrested Tuesday on drug charges after their speeding car was stopped, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Officers stopped a vehicle about 3 a.m. near the intersection of Old Mill Road and Veterans Highway in Millersville.

When an office walked up to the vehicle he reportedly detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside. A search of the vehicle and the three occupants turned up marijuana-infused edibles valued at $500, 11 Xanax pills worth $88, .67 grams of crack cocaine valued at $67 and 29.75 grams of marijuana valued at $595. Police say $1,314 in cash was also seized, along with paraphernalia consistent with distribution of illicit drugs.

All three men were taken into custody and charged with drug possession and possession with intent to distribute drugs.

The suspects are:
  • Jajuan Davon Shaw, 21, of the 1400 block of Briarwood Place in Severn
  • Dejuan Karon Shaw, also 21, of the 1400 block of Briarwood Place in Severn
  • Jahaid Haneef Thomas, 20, of the 8000 block of Appalachian Drive in Pasadena

Police said that while the Shaws have the same birth date and address, they didn't know if they are brothers.
