3 Free Fourth Of July Events Happening Across Phoenix This Summer

The city is promoting free, family-friendly celebrations with music, activities, food vendors and nighttime displays.

PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix is offering residents three free ways to celebrate Independence Day this summer, with events spread across the city from late June through the Fourth of July.

After Dark in the Park — June 27
The celebration kicks off early at Deer Valley Park on Saturday, June 27. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and features activities for all ages, live music and an Independence Day drone show.

It's a good option for families who want to get a jump on the holiday weekend.

Light Up the Sky — July 2
American Family Fields of Phoenix, 3600 N. 51st Ave., hosts a free fireworks event on Thursday, July 2, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The evening includes live entertainment, games and food vendors, with a fireworks show kicking off at 9:10 p.m. No admission required.

Fabulous Phoenix 4th — July 4
Phoenix's marquee celebration returns for its 38th year at Steele Indian School Park on Saturday, July 4, from 6 to 10 p.m.

The event features live performances, interactive activities, food vendors and a fireworks show the city describes as the best in the Southwest. Thousands are expected to attend.
