From a museum exhibition showing musical instruments from China to dinosaurs in the desert, lots of fun for families.

1. Head over the Musical Instrument Museum for their newly opened exhibit looking at ancient musical treasures from central China. The museum is displaying more than 60 instruments spanning 9,000 years of Chinese music and history.
2. The temperature might be reaching to the mid-70s but that's no reason to not go ice skating. Grab your skates and go to Chill Fest at OdySea in the Desert with the ice skating area and holiday mascots. It closes this weekend so, last chance.

3. If you can't make it to OdySea, there's also a weekend of skating at CitySkate Ice Rink Park in downtown Phoenix. Performances, art, an interactive pop-up shop, the 36-foot high tree and of course, skating.
4. Artlink's First Friday gets underway tonight. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., you have the opportunity to tour more than 70 galleries, venues, and art-related spaces.
5. And, of course, what beats dinosaurs? Check out Dinosaurs in the Desert at the Phoenix Zoo. Nearly two-dozen prehistoric creatures line the Zoo's Desert Lives Trail.
