8 Dead In Head-On Arizona Crash
Among those killed in the crash, five were undocumented immigrants, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

FLORENCE, AZ — Eight people were killed in a head-on crash in Arizona when a Buick crashed into a Chevy Suburban, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The Arizona DPS said four of those killed in the crash were undocumented immigrants.
The DPS said troopers responded to the crash just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, south of the city of Florence. According to preliminary information, the Suburban was going northbound on state route 79 when it was hit by the Buick, which was traveling southbound.
Its unclear why the Buick went left of the center and crashed into the Suburban, the DPS said.

The DPS said six of the nine passengers in the Suburban were killed. Among those killed were the driver and front-seat passenger of the car, who were American citizens. The rest of the passengers in the Suburban were undocumented immigrants. Four of them were killed and three suffered serious to life-threatening injuries.
The driver and front-seat passenger in the Buick were also killed.

The victims have not been identified.
Authorities had previously said nine people were killed in the crash but later revised the death toll.
