Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. Phoenix-area school employees will be participating in active shooter training. The training is supported by a donation from Phoenix Suns Charities. The Phoenix Fire Department will be conducting the training with the national A.L.I.C.E. program. Last year, 61 active shooter incidents occurred in the United States. (KTAR.com)
  2. Saturday's monsoon storm caused a Phoenix gas station roof to collapse. A Peoria resident was gassing up when the station's roof collapsed on her car. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. Zane Ferrin will likely need a new car, however. (Daily Independent)
  3. Phoenix's median home price will likely decrease. The city's housing market cooled in June due to rising interest rates, an unstable stock market, and an increase in homes on the market. The median home price now will likely be $450,000. (The Arizona Republic)
