Some of the things that make ALDI different from a standard grocery store:

  • ALDI is committed to low prices and has been named Value Leader among U.S. grocery stores, according to the Market Force Information U.S. Grocery Competitive Study.
  • ALDI works with partners to curate a selection of more than 90 percent exclusive brands, that ALDI guarantees are as good as or better than national brands, according to the news release.
  • ALDI guarantees quality with its Twice as Nice Guarantee.
  • ALDI doesn’t hire employees to corral loose carts. Customers deposit a quarter to use a cart and customers get their quarter back when they return the cart. ALDI also asks shoppers to bring reusable bags and does not offer single-use plastic bags to customers.
  • A typical ALDI store is approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space, meaning ALDI stores are smaller and easier to navigate that traditional grocery stores.
