AllThrive 365 Awarded $18,000 Grant from City of Peoria

AllThrive 365 is pleased to announce that it has received a grant for $18,000 from the City of Peoria to be used in promoting housing stability and preventing homelessness among the city’s low-income residents, as well as providing reliable transportation for low-income older adults, adults with disabilities, and veterans.

“Arizona’s aging population is growing rapidly, and meeting the needs of older adults will require all of us — nonprofits, municipalities, and community partners — to work together,” said Tami Bohannon, president and CEO of AllThrive 365. “This grant from the City of Peoria is a powerful example of what’s possible when we unite to ensure every resident can age with dignity, stability, and connection.”

The grant will further AllThrive 365’s mission to help Peoriaresident age with confidence, with $13,000 being used for services at the organization’s Community Action Program (CAP) at the Peoria Community Center. This portion of the funding will promote housing stability by supplementing financial and non-financial supports offered through the program, including rent and utility assistance, security deposit assistance, short-term case management, food bags to fight food insecurity, energy education and more.

The other $5,000 of the grant will be used for the Northwest Valley Connect transit program, which provides low-income residents in Peoria with transportation to medical appointments, social outings at senior centers, grocery shopping and more, helping program participants meet their needs and reduce isolation in the community.

“This funding is an investment in proven, high-impact programs helping our residents,” said Chris Hallett, Director of Neighborhood and Human Services for the City of Peoria. “We’re proud to partner with AllThrive 365 to help more Peoria residents get food, transportation, and safe housing that are key to a thriving community.”

More than 700 Peoria residents are expected to benefit from these services over the course of the next year.
