PHOENIX, AZ — A west Phoenix drug bust last week led to the seizure of 43 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of a man wanted on a felony probation violation warrant.

The investigation was led by the Phoenix Police Department's Drug Enforcement Bureau in partnership with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Police said officers from the Tactical Support Bureau, Fugitive Apprehension and Investigations Detail, and Special Assignments Unit also assisted with the operation.

According to court documents, Isaiahs Alejandro Jimenez arrived at the storage facility while investigators were serving the search warrant and recognized law enforcement officers on scene.

Court records indicate Jimenez was wanted at the time on an outstanding felony probation violation warrant. Additional details about Jimenez's arrest were first reported by FOX 10 Phoenix.

Jimenez is charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale, according to court records. Additional charges were not listed in the publicly available case information.

In a social media post, Phoenix police said the operation resulted in "43 pounds of meth off the streets," adding that investigators "intercepted a drug dealer" near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road while executing the investigation.

A Maricopa County judge set Jimenez's bond at $300,000 cash only, according to officials.

The case is scheduled to return to court on July 14, according to court records.
