Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop is bringing a different flavor experience to its menu with the debut of the Pit Boss, a new sandwich that stacks oven-toasted pulled pork, barbecue sauce, creamy coleslaw and pickle chips on a brioche bun.
The Pit Boss is available at all eight Mr. Pickle's locations across Arizona, as well as the brand's shops throughout California.
"Mr. Pickle's serves a sandwich for every craving, and the Pit Boss brings the hearty comfort and warmth of barbecue to the Mr. Pickle's menu," said Mike Nelson, CEO of Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop. "It's something guests haven't seen from us before, but it still feels right at home and unmistakably Mr. Pickle's."
The sandwich builds on a new chapter for Mr. Pickle's that began with its first major menu revamp since opening in 1995, reorganizing the menu by protein type, followed by the launch of wraps offered in wheat, spinach and gluten-free options.
More recently, the brand introduced an oven-toasted lineup featuring Chipotle Ranch and Chicken Bacon Ranch flavors. Guests can now order any of their favorite Mr. Pickle's sandwiches as a wrap or "Now Toasted" for a different spin on the menu items they already enjoy.
Along with expanding its menu, Mr. Pickle's earned its highest placement to date on Fast Casual's Top 100 Movers & Shakers list this year, ranking No. 65. The national program recognizes restaurant brands and executives leading the fast-casual industry through growth, menu innovation and customer experience.
"By introducing pulled pork and brioche, we are taking the brand into new territory without losing the connection to the sandwiches and ingredients that built our following," Nelson added. "Our signature menu items have set Mr. Pickle's apart for three decades, and we're building on that foundation with ideas that move us forward."
Based in Scottsdale, Mr. Pickle's has grown to more than 60 locations across Arizona and California while maintaining the community roots, signature recipes and commitment to freshness that have defined the brand since 1995.
