Hondo Rodeo returns to Phoenix for third consecutive year (kyma.com) — Phoenix residents can look forward to the Hondo Rodeo returning to Chase Field November 13–15, bringing top rodeo athletes and major country acts like Tim McGraw and Miranda Lambert. Alongside the arena action, a free street festival outside the ballpark will offer food, vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
2. 2 families displaced after double house fire in west Phoenix (azfamily.com) — Two families were forced from their homes after a carport fire spread to two houses near 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Street in west Phoenix Monday evening. All seven residents escaped safely, with only minor injuries reported, and firefighters stopped the blaze from reaching additional homes while investigators work to determine the cause.
3. WATCH: Phoenix teen helps students turn big ideas into real-world solutions (abc15.com) — A Phoenix teenager, Emilio Sáenz, turned his concern for a friend in an English-only classroom into NaveganteAZ, a bilingual online guide helping Arizona families find schools and language support. He's now mentoring other high school students through his Impactfully program, guiding them to design real-world projects that address challenges like dyslexia, childcare, and accessibility in their own communities.
4. PHX Refreshes Concessions with Regional Focus (phoenix.gov) — Travelers from Phoenix will soon see more homegrown food and retail options at Sky Harbor, as the airport rolls out a major concessions refresh highlighting local restaurants, breweries, and shops. New spots in Terminal 4 and a future Terminal 3 concourse will showcase Phoenix favorites and Arizona-made products, while supporting small businesses and adding jobs across the region.
5. Arizona Lottery Powerball, The Pick results for Sept. 14, 2026 (azcentral.com) — Phoenix lottery players can now check the Sept. 14 Powerball and Arizona draw game numbers and see exactly where to claim any winnings in town. The article lists the Phoenix mailing address, the main University Drive office, and the Sky Harbor location, along with prize limits and hours, so you know where to go if your ticket hits.
