GILBERT, Ariz. – Fall is heading to Gilbert, Ariz. as part of Harvest in the Heritage District, Sept. 25 – Nov. 1. Discover Gilbert is ready to turn on the autumn glow in downtown and strike up fall fever during the five-week celebration. From free concerts under the water tower, an epic pumpkin hunt through the district, a new food crawl, community workshops, and a cultural light and sound installation, all of this year's planned events are detailed online at www.HarvestintheHD.com.

WHAT: Harvest in the Heritage District, Downtown Gilbert Fall Celebration

A seasonal fall celebration hosted throughout Gilbert's Heritage District. Highlights include The Great Gilbert Gourd Hunt, a family-friendly scavenger hunt featuring the artistry of Ray Villafane from Villafane Studios, a fall-inspired artist installation featuring music and sound celebrating global harvest festivals, a live pumpkin carving workshop with Ray Villafane, weekly concerts under the Water Tower, merchant specials, fall flavors and seasonal décor throughout the Heritage District.

WHERE: Heritage District, Downtown Gilbert, Gilbert Road, bordered by Juniper Avenue to the North and Elliott Road to the South

Harvest in the Heritage District Event Highlights:

The Great Gilbert Gourd Hunt, Tales From the Heritage District

Head to the Heritage District and check out the exceptional artistry of Ray Villafane and Villafane Studios as part of The Great Gilbert Gourd Hunt. Returning for the second year in a row, Ray is kicking it up a notch with more enchanting pumpkin creations and story-filled scenes throughout the Heritage District, where his artistry brings local lore to life through mystery, magic, and make-believe.

Visitors to the district are invited to sign up on their mobile device for a digital passport and follow GPS directions to pumpkin vignettes throughout downtown Gilbert. A digital check-in is required at each spot. Turn in your completed hunt card or show your digital passport at a Discover Gilbert Discovery Center for a pumpkin prize (while supplies last). The digital passport features Gilbert's rich history and a quiz game featuring facts and fables about the Heritage District's spooky past. Printed Gourd Hunt cards available at Town Hall, HD South: Gilbert Historical Museum and select merchants.

Photo Opportunity: Head over to Water Tower Plaza and take in Villafane Studio's Scarecrow Horse installation. This dramatic, eye-catching centerpiece is designed to draw visitors into the district and serve as an anchor for the Harvest in the Heritage District experience.

Concerts in the Park: Free concerts return to Water Tower Plaza on Thursday evenings throughout October from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, featuring a variety of family-friendly local musicians. Grab a blanket or your favorite lawn chair and enjoy free, live music from some of the Valley's best bands. Pick up delicious takeout from one of Gilbert's many restaurants and settle in for an evening of great tunes and fall vibes.

Celebration Soundscape Artist Workshop: Hosted by Dalton Attig, a musician and audio engineer specializing in composition for visual media. A graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art–Schaumburg, he now lives in the Greater Phoenix area. His work includes visual novels with Delphinium Interactive and an original musical created with Triad Performing Arts of Arizona. He also serves as the Arts & Culture Coordinator for the City of Goodyear, blending his creative practice with community programming.
