Arizona Coronavirus Cases Surpass 8K; Death Toll At 348

PHOENIX, AZ— The number of confirmed new coronavirus cases in Arizona has climbed to 8,303 as of Saturday, a more than 1,000-case increase from what the state was reporting midweek.
The Arizona Department of Health Services also reported an additional 44 deaths since Wednesday, bring the total number to 348.
Officials also confirmed that 77,997 COVID-19 tests have been completed, including 3,118 new tests as of Saturday.

Maricopa County continues to have the largest number of coronavirus cases in the state. According to health officials, there have been 4,421 cases and 154 deaths, up 14 from midweek.
Pima County has the second highest number of coronavirus cases in the state. The latest data shows there have been 1,300 cases and 89 deaths, up nine from midweek.

- La Paz: 14 cases, 0 deaths
- Mohave: 127 cases, 15 deaths
- Navajo: 766 cases, 22 deaths
- Pinal: 435 cases, 13 deaths
- Santa Cruz: 34 cases, 0 deaths
- Yavapai: 87 cases, 0 deaths
- Yuma: 89 cases, 0 deaths
