Arizona Leads U.S. In Small Business Hiring: Report

PHOENIX, AZ—Arizona leads the United States in small business job growth, according to a new report.

Paychex, a business solutions provider, and IHS Markit, an information and analytics provider, release a Small Business Employment Watch monthly. Read more about their methodology here.

Phoenix is third on the list of metro areas with the highest job growth among small businesses, behind Tampa and Dallas.

The report found national job growth was up across the nation in July.

"The rate of hiring continues to increase steadily across all sectors,” saidMartin Mucci, Paychex president and CEO, in a news release. “July’s small business job and wage growth numbers indicate a continued rebound of the economy as employment increases.”
