Arizona State Football: ESPN Analyst Herm Edwards Interviewing

Edwards, who coached the Jets and Chiefs in the NFL, has been with ESPN for the past eight years.

Former NFL coach and current ESPN analyst Herman Edwards is flying to Arizona to interview for the head coach position at Arizona State. Edwards, who has been with ESPN for the past eight years, confirmed the news to them Tuesday.

Edwards, who has coached the Jets and Chiefs in the NFL, is close to ASU's Vice President of Athletics, Ray Anderson. When Edwards was coaching in the NFL, Anderson was his agent.

On Sunday, Anderson announced the firing of coach Todd Graham. At the press conference, Anderson said he would be looking for someone with experience as a head coach.

During Edwards's NFL career, he had a record of 54-74 over eight seasons.
