Arizona Teachers Will Unveil Goals At Wednesday Rally
Arizona teachers will continue their Wednesday actions to call attention to their low pay with a rally at the Capitol.

PHOENIX, AZ – Arizona teachers are not giving up. Their series of Wednesday actions to call attention to low pay and working conditions will continue tomorrow with a rally at the Capitol.
Organizers announced on their Facebook page that they plan to unveil their goals and demands.
Arizona teachers, emboldened by their colleagues in West Virginia, have been increasing their activities, holding rallies every Wednesday and, last week, staging a sick-out in nine elementary schools that forced them to close for the day.

As Patch reported, the National Education Association – the largest national teacher's organization – says the average pay for teachers in the state is the 37th lowest in the country. Some surveys peg pay in the state even lower.
Wednesday's rally will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. so that it won't affect school activities.
