Arming one out of every five teachers would cost $1 million more than the budget for the state's education department, according 12News.

PHOENIX, AZ – Arming public school teachers in Arizona could cost $1 million more than the entire budget for the state's Department of Education. That's according to a report from 12News.
President Trump has floated the idea of arming teachers in classrooms, suggesting that it wouldn't have to be every teacher but maybe one out of five.
12News did the math.

The station found that 20 percent of teachers in the state is 9,773 teachers.
For training and weapons, the cost could end up being $10,359,392 – $1 million more than the state's education budget.
