Assistance League® of Phoenix Raises over $570,000 at 54th Annual Cel

Assistance League® of Phoenix held its 54th Annual Celebration of Caring Gala, “Be the Change” on March 22, 2025, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Chateau Luxe, located at 1175 E. Lone Cactus Dr. in Phoenix. The evening raised over $570,000 to benefit children in need throughout the Greater Phoenix area.

“We are so grateful to our sponsors and supporters,” said Aimee Runyon, CEO, Assistance League of Phoenix. “Together we are making a difference in the lives of thousands of low-income students throughout the Valley. Every dollar raised from this year’s event will go towards providing them with basic needs, helping them to come to school feeling confident and ready to learn.”

The Delivering Dreams Bus program works with more than 155 K-8th grade Title I schools in the Greater Phoenix area. This year more than 15,000 clothing-insecure children will be served. Recognizing transportation challenges that face underserved and low-income families, ALP utilizes 40ft retrofitted buses called Delivering Dreams Buses, bringing the program directly to students at the schools they attend during the school day. The buses are filled with shelves of clothing and shoes, along with private dressing rooms. Corporate/community groups provide volunteers to help each child select clothing and ensure that clothes and shoes fit properly. Each student receives a package of items that include clothing, shoes, and hygiene items valued at approximately $300.

This year’s Excellence in Philanthropy honoree was the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation. Assistance League of Phoenix Board Vice Chairman, Susan Frank was this year’s Event Chairman.
