AZ Coronavirus Update: Cases Surpass 7K, 304 Deaths Reported

The number of coronavirus cases increased by 254 between Tuesday and Wednesday, according to state health officials.

PHOENIX, AZ— The number of confirmed new coronavirus cases in Arizona has climbed to 7,202 as of Wednesday, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services. That's a 254 increase from what was reported the day before.

State officials also reported an additional 11 deaths, bring the total number to 304.

They also confirmed that 68,813 COVID-19 tests have been completed, including 1,375 new tests as of Wednesday.

Maricopa County continues to have the largest number of coronavirus cases in the state. According to health officials, there have been 3,723 cases and 140 deaths, up three from Tuesday.

Pima County has the second highest number of coronavirus cases in the state. The latest data shows there have been 1,250 cases and 80 deaths, up two from Tuesday.
