1) Local businesses support a month-long drive to restock the Lost Our Home Pet Rescue food pantry, collecting items such as pet food, blankets, and pet toys.

The organization has saved over 28,900 pets and fed 17,000 pets through their Pet-Food Bank Program.

2) Nonprofit invites Spanish-speakers with autism or disabilities to participate in housing study.

"We know there is a lot of conversation about affordable housing, but often this population — people with intellectual, developmental disabilities — is very invisible in those conversations. It is essential that we have those conversations in English and in Spanish in Phoenix because many families with children with autism and other intellectual, developmental disabilities live in the Greater Phoenix metro area," said Maureen Casey, a First Place Global Leadership Institute director.
